Known for its stunning natural beauty and profound historical significance, Delphi was home to the Oracle of Apollo, where pilgrims sought guidance from the gods. The archaeological site features impressive ruins, including the Temple of Apollo, the ancient theater, and the athletic stadium. With breathtaking views over the valley and the Gulf of Corinth, The sanctuary was also home to the Pythian Games. The competitions included chariot races, foot races, musical contests, and even poetry readings. Unlike the Olympics, the Pythian Games also featured competitions for art and dance, and women were allowed to participate in some events. These games were a celebration of both physical prowess and artistic talent, making them a unique and important part of ancient Greek culture. Delphi is both a spiritual and cultural treasure, offering a glimpse into the heart of ancient Greek civilization. While there, we will experience a guided tour as well as lunch. Upon our return and for those that still have energy, we can dine together and explore nightlife in Athens
